Howdy, again!

A sort of welcome back, if you will - another foray into the weird and wonderful world of blogging. Things in the Bluegrass are warming up (in theory) and so it is in our house, too.

It seems that as the days grow longer, my patience grows shorter. Of course, that could all stem from the time change and my inability to recover. But it's that time of year when kids (and teachers) start the downhill slide to summer break. I catch it in double doses - not just from my daughter, but from all the kids I have in class on any given day. Trees are budding, baseball season arrives, and then comes Memorial Day to really start the season. No one wants to learn! Admittedly, I'm dreaming of summer break, too, so I can't blame the kids alone. We'll get through it together, but it might take the patience of a saint to do it.

Around here, the biggest change occurs on Sunday. Being a multidenomination house meant that we simply didn't go to ANY church. So together, we're trying to find the right home for our family, which is looking like the Methodist church. Believe me, it's hard to find an acceptable place for Baptists and Catholics to attend, but they seem to be the best of both worlds. I still would much rather attend a Catholic church, but there are things that must come to pass before I can be in full communion and I dont know if I have the strength/time/money to make it happen.

What are your thoughts? How can you find the best place if you come from a million other places?
